Various bars located around our site which includes Colonel Porters Marquee with a range of Gins, Rums, beers, ciders - Champagne marquee - Real Ale Marquee - Primm’s Van - Cocktail Van - Main 25 metre Bar - Heineken bar - Bus bar - plus Tea & Coffee and soft drink.
We also offer two free drinking water points on the site.
Our Children’s area is located down the tree lined drive from the main entrance, which includes Circus training, Punch & Judy, Children’s Rides & play area.
Creativity, Science, Imagination and Play run through every element of the youth-focussed zone. Our programme will combine family entertainment, circus workshops, kids dance party, treasure hunts, science theatre and sideshow stalls. With a focussed performance space, the zone will bring scheduled performances to young people & families.
The activity programme will bring learning and fun as a shared family experience.
Herbie Treehead left his native Consett 35 years ago as a comedian, outdoor artist and stage variety performer. His repertoire includes musical comedy, clowning, puppetry, audience participation and much more. Despite being an international touring entertainer, he’s only twice performed in County Durham in the last decade.
Covent Garden Street Theatre stalwart, Felicity Footloose is a 1980s-themed flash-dancing, stuntwoman that every girl can look up to. Her feel-good audience participation performance leads to an upside down finale where she hangs from her toes 3m in the air, and juggles machetes whilst upside down.
A stage show come dance participation event aimed at young people, Club Groovy gets primary aged children dancing in their interactive character led show. Popular with Teesside family audiences, Club Groovy is the Festival.
This year’s focus is to combine driving wheel acts that move around the top half of the festival site. Aaaaargh, the pirate act, will include a treasure hunt designed for children to take 30 minutes of exploring set areas of the site. Fabulous Contraptions is a duo of steampunk inventors who ride motorised unicycle wheels. They share a curiosity for everything, inviting young and young-at-heart to explore the far reaches of knowledge!
Situated at the rear of the hall within a 19th century courtyard, this will be transformed into an amazing area undercover where House music reigns supreme.

Sunday it’s TO THE MANOR BORN holding court with a Sandy Rivera headlining.
A new addition to this year, situated where the Discovery Stage was, this will be playing host to some incredible DJ’s.

Tucked away in a secret location each day sees a special area with DJ’s performing each day within the wood with a bar this will be a ticket only admission at £25.00 and needs to be purchased as an extra to the festival ticket.

Hardwick Festival is the biggest music festival in the North East UK. Set in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, overlooking 120 acres of parkland, the festival lies in the heart of the beautiful County Durham countryside with easy access to Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Richmond, Northallerton & Darlington.
Hardwick is a country park with a difference. A perfect location for a great day out.
Our car park has a very large capacity Tickets are available in advance on line at £4.00 per vehicle or you will be able to pay on the day, cash only at £5.00 per vehicle, If you wish to leave your vehicle overnight after Saturday you may do so, however this will be at your own risk, the gates will be locked at 3:30 am Sunday morning and will be reopened at 10.00 am on Sunday morning, this well be the same for Sunday if you want to leave your car overnight for you to collect your vehicle on Monday , please note you are not allowed to sleep over night in your vehicle.
The Car park for our event is situated on Hardwick East Park and will be clearly signed, the entrance to this will be from the mini roundabout opposite the entrance to Hardwick Park on the A177.
If you are being dropped off please drive into the East Park and follow the signs to the drop off area and into the event.
For pick up after the event please arrange for your driver / taxi to pick you up in the main Hardwick Park car park where there is plenty of space for them to wait for you. There will be no parking or waiting outside the main entrance to Hardwick Hall Hotel, the main car park or on the A177.
There will be plenty of space at the rear of the audience area and away from the stage area for you to sit down on the grass using rug’s and enjoy the whole day out, the area at the front of the stage is for a standing audience this is an all standing concert.
Please dress for the weather and remember the event is taking place on the hotel lawns so please wear appropriate footwear on the day, there is no dress code for Hardwick Festival.
Last but no means least, please remember to bring some good weather with you.
We now can confirm the coach prices and pick up points for Hardwick Festival Sat 21st/Sun 22nd August these travel tickets are only available from JH Coaches, these will need to be booked direct.
Coaches will arrive approximately 11:30 am, you will be dropped off at Hardwick Park coach park please follow the signs directing to our main gate.
For your return journey please make your way back to the coach park in Hardwick Park, all coaches will depart at 11:15 pm each night.
