Shanti Bee Healing Field

A vibrant new area dedicated to connection, creativity, wellness and wild expression. From immersive workshops to live performances and moments of calm, this is your place to slow down, stretch out, and set your spirit alight.

Breakdance & Reggaetón classes

Get ready to Break and Shake with SugaGill and Javier!
They will be bringing the coolest break and Reggaeton moves from the coolest Hip Hop and Latin Rhythms.
Test your stamina, strength and balance whilst having a smile on your face the whole time. You will be learning what the elements of Hip Hop Culture are and origins of Cuban signature moves.

Bring your best moves for a dance battle in our friendly crew battles!  

 

Capoeira

Capoeira for All workshops brings movement, music and fun for everyone. Capoeira is unique Afro-Brazilian art-form that incorporates dance, martial arts, acrobatics, culture and live music, and the workshops are led by a gloablly famous Capoeira duo, Akil and Eleanor, who ensure family-friendly good times are had by all in getting you dancing, singing, smiling and moving together!

 

Sole rebel - percussive dance workshops

Join Sole Rebel for a fun family tap dancing where you'll learn basic foot steps and some body percussion. Whether you're a complete beginner or a tap whizz, you're guaranteed a toe tapping good time! 
Sole Rebel CIC are a women-led performance company that moves to its own beat, with tap dance at its heart. They present tap dance in unexpected ways, collaborating with other artists to play with and create their own rhythmic theatrical language.

 

Junior Jungle

Nick Terrific and MC Rocky Patch are back with the most uplifting family rave on the planet. Amped up and ready to discharge even more powerful electric vibes, these boys are never static so expect a bolt of sparky choons, lightning hot costumes, and their shockingly profound and hilarious take on life, the universe, and everything.

Don’t bother wearing socks, junglists, cos they’ll be blown clean off!! Big up the littlest massive!!

 

Family fancy dress competition

Listen for the theme, make, shake and dress to impress. Prizes to be won for the best dressed families.

 

Silent Disco

Dance your pants off, throw some shapes likes no one is watching or listening. It’s all for you little dancers!

 

Jake Evans Storytelling

Jake Evans storyteller extraordinaire travels the world, bringing myths and legends to life. Create an animal montage from all corners of the Earth and beyond.

 

Sophie Nina - Artist

Sophie Nina, will bring her array of kaleidoscope colours & creative vision to make our own “hardwick style” typography with families of all ages. Create a future piece of artwork for all Hardwick Festivals to come! 

 

Textile junkies

Rummage Refashion

Textile Junkies will provide a rummage rail of rescued clothing for upcycling with sewing machines, trims and ribbons, scrap fabrics, haberdashery, textile art, sequins, beads & embellishments and block printing! 

Textile Junkies will help create wearable upcycled festival outfits and sustainable festival merch.

Food

We have a large selection of food stalls available to purchase something to suit everyone. These are located around the site and include vegan & vegetarian options from Freshly Baked Pizzas - NEW Doritos Loaded - Mexican - Thai - Indian - Fish & Chips - Caribbean - Gourmet Burgers - Hog Roast - Freshly Made Donuts - Ice Cream - Greek - Jerk chicken.

Liquid Refreshments

Various bars located around our site which includes Colonel Porters Marquee with a range of Gins, Rums, beers, ciders -  Champagne marquee -  Real Ale Marquee - Pimm’s Van - Cocktail Van - Main 25 metre Bar - Heineken bar - Bus bar - plus Tea & Coffee and soft drink.

We also offer two free drinking water points on the site.

The Venue

Hardwick Festival is the biggest music festival in the North East UK. Set in the grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel, overlooking 120 acres of parkland, the festival lies in the heart of the beautiful County Durham countryside with easy access to Newcastle Upon Tyne, Gateshead, Durham, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Richmond, Northallerton & Darlington.

Hardwick is a country park with a difference. A perfect location for a great day out.

 

Parking & More

PARKING
Our car park has a very large capacity for the full weekend. Car Park tickets can be purchased in advance via the website, or you can pay on the day (subject to availability). 

The car park is situated on Hardwick East Park and will be clearly signed posted, the entrance to this will be from the mini roundabout opposite the entrance to Hardwick Park on the A177.

DROPPING OFF
If you are being dropped off please drive into Hardwick Park's car park where you can drop off for free and drive back out. You cannot drop off anywhere on the A177, and you will be charged if you enter the East Park car park. 

For pick up after the event please arrange for your driver / taxi to pick you up in the main Hardwick Park car park where there is plenty of space for them to wait for you. There will be no parking or waiting outside the main entrance to Hardwick Hall Hotel, the main car park or on the A177.

SEATING
There will be plenty of space at the rear of the audience area and away from the stage area for you to sit down on the grass using rug’s and enjoy the whole day out, the area at the front of the stage is for a standing audience this is an all standing concert.

DRESS CODE
Please dress for the weather and remember the event is taking place on the hotel lawns so please wear appropriate footwear on the day, there is no dress code for Hardwick Festival.

Last but no means least, please remember to bring some good weather with you.
